- Ghee (Clarified butter), – 2-3 tablespoon
- Haldi (Turmeric powder) – 1/2 teaspoon
- Jeera (Cumin seeds) – 1 teaspoon
- Hing (Asafoetida) – 1 pinch (optional)
- Adrak (Ginger) – 1 inch piece (finely grated)
- Lal mirch (Red chili powder) – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt – swad anusar
- Dhaniya (Coriander leaves) – for garnishing (optional)
- Tej Patta (Indian bay leaf)

Khichdi Banane Ki Vidhi
Chawal aur Daal ko dhoyein, Chawal aur moong dal ko ache Tarike se saaf pani se dho lein. or uske baad Aap chahe to 15-20 minute ke liye inhe

Chawal aur daal daalein
Ab chawal aur moong dal ko ghee mein daal kar 1-2 minute tak bhunein, taki unhe ek halka sa bhun jaye.
Pani aur namak daalein
Iske baad, 3-4 cups pani (aapko jarurat ke hisab se kam ya jyada liquid chahiye ho to pani adjust kar sakte
hain) aur namak daalein. (suwad anusaar)
Sabko achhe se mila lein.
Cook karein
Agar aap pressure cooker mein bana rahe hain, to cooker ka dhakkan bandh karke 2-3 (siti) whistle aane
tak pakaayein. Agar aap patila mein bana rahe hain, to dhakkan bandh karke 20-25 minute tak medium
flame par pakaayein, jab tak chawal aur dal achhe se soft na ho jaye. jab tak use pakaye
Khichdi ko mix karein
Khichdi jab ready ho jaye, to use achhe se mix karein aur thoda sa aur ghee daal sakte hain agar aapko
swad mein aur richness chahiye.
Garnish karein
Garama garam khichdi ko dhaniya, payz, tamatar or hari micrch or nibu ka salad bana kar garnish karein
aur dahi, pickle ya papad ke saath serve karein.
